Purpose of the Position
The Restaurant Manager holds overall responsibility for ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations. The objective is to guarantee the highest level of service quality, guest satisfaction, and the department’s economic success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management

Ensure professional, friendly, and efficient service procedures

Personally welcome and attend to guests during peak service times

Coordinate daily specials with the kitchen

Monitor reservations, events, and occupancy levels
-
Ensure compliance with service and quality standards
-
Oversee orderliness, cleanliness, and readiness of all equipment and work materials
-
Handle billing and cash reconciliation at the end of each shift
Staff Management
-
Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for all department employees
-
Prepare duty rosters and vacation schedules
-
Monitor working hours
-
Conduct employee training (service, sales, product knowledge)

Support and develop team members
-
Conduct job interviews in coordination with management
Financial Responsibility & Organization

Ensure cost-efficient staff deployment

Order and receive goods up to a value of €500

Forward relevant data to the controlling department

Implement sales-promoting measures
-
Grant discounts of up to 50% of the invoice amount with written justification
Legal Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, particularly:

Hygiene regulations

Fire safety
-
Occupational safety and health protection

Train employees in these areas

Report special incidents to management

Issue bans from the premises in coordination with management
Authorities

Authority to issue instructions to all department employees

Authorization to issue internal vouchers/complimentary items

Signing authority within the defined scope
Collaboration

Close coordination with the kitchen, front office, and other departments

Participation in department head meetings

Communication with external parties only in coordination with management
